Tony Ray Jones is one of my favourite British photographers best known for his portrayal of English social life. His photographs are funny, poignant and sometimes surreal. I love the layering of ideas and stories within a single image and I try to emulate this in my work. When I shoot a wedding I love the buzz during the ‘getting ready’ and this image strikes a chord with me.
Loving these ceramic hearts that I photographed for Jules China in Hebden Bridge. Think they make lovely wedding presents with or without the crumble..
Took this shot of my daughter, Ava, and my son Louie at the weekend. I might employ this style more with my happy couples. I do like to photograph them apart sometimes! Maybe don’t get the brides to not drop their jaw though? What do you think?
I shot these cakes for the quite lovely Naomi Kilby. I love these funky little numbers but there is a style for everyone. Check out Noami’s Cakes ps Good luck with the new site, Nay! x
Isn’t she gorgeous? After much propositioning at the local school Halloween disco, I had to sadly decline. Think it was the green wall that put me off.
This is our patch at the Holdsworth House wedding fair. New albums to show but I think I need more table space! Can’t be doing with the traditional clothed up number like you normally get so need more room on top. The dinky table is only enough to put some sweets on although these are very popular. Double ration of sweets by the way for Cheryl & Dean who booked with me today!
